A Beautiful Marquee Wedding Ceremony
Lisa and Chris had their wedding ceremony in a marquee in a secret garden at Old Brook Barn, Brook Farm, Navestock,Essex, with 180 guests attending.
We worked with Lisa to bring her chosen theme of a timeless classic vintage look with pastel shades of pink, duck egg blue and cream, to life throughout the day.
The marquee was assembled the day before. The grass had been cut ready for the special day. We carefully squared up the marquee with the summer house to give a professional image to the area. The legs of the marquee were wrapped and a complete lining of ivory was used to dress internally.
Lisa and Chris decided that, due to the beautifully warm day, they would not require sides to the marquee. They wanted to add an extra sparkle to the day by making their guests feel like they were in a secret garden.
We added the Limewash Chivari chairs, with a matching ivory seat pad, and set them in rows besides the cream, carpeted centre aisle.
Flowers were added along the aisle, following Lisa's theme, with a mix of pinks and creams using peonies, hydrangeas and gilder roses, all by Sally at The Halo Blossom. We used bay trees to blend the marquee with the garden for a finishing touch.
The wedding cake subtly graduated from light to slightly darker duck egg blue icing, was decorated with hand-made icing peonies, roses and hydrangea and was finished with delicate edible icing lace.
Lisa topped the cake with pretty peg doll toppers and bunting. The 5 tiers were a mix of chocolate, traditional and lemon sponge. Made by Finesse Cakes.
The photographer, Dan Casson and his team from Studio 1 Creative Photography were professional, faultless, funny and took amazing photographs.
"What a fantastic day. Carol from Ambassador Marquees really did go that extra mile to make sure our day was extra special"
